Palma de Mallorca is one of the Balearic Islands and are part of Spain. We landed in Palma (capital of the islands) to a lovely, sunny day. We are on a bus tour that is taking us to a few places of interested.
First stope was
Ajuntament de Diez, a view point overlooking the coastline.
Then it was on to the charming village of Valldemossa where we had a walking tour of the town,

including a stop
at the Carthusian Monastery where Frederic Chopin stayed while visiting
the island.

We did a quick
tour of a few rooms of the Palace of King Sanc (son of King Jaume II, 14th
century founder of the house of Mallorca)
and enjoyed the
small courtyard.
Then we filed into an adjacent hall for a 15 minute Chopin concert.
Then it was free time wandering around the quaint village.
We got some nice
views of the countryside both on the way to and from Valldemossa.
The drive back yielded some nice scenery, including fields filled with yellow flowers.
Once back in Palma the guide took us on a short detour to see the exterior of the Cathedral of Santa Maria, a beautiful cathedral near the waterfront.
The driver also did a very short detour that allowed to see a few bits of Palma, the city.
As we sailed away from we had another good view of the the city and the cathedral in the distance.
After settling back on board we decided to head to Tea on the ship. Lots of yummies there.
And later this evening we had a nice sunset.
